Each year the HOA members vote in the Directors who will guide our community and meet it needs in agreement with the homeowners of Eagle Bay.
President – Darlene Kluck
Darlene Kluck serves as President of the Eagle Bay Landing Homeowners Association and
brings a strong sense of responsibility, integrity, and follow-through to the role. Her professional
background spans three distinct careers, beginning in critical care nursing, followed by executive
recruiting at senior levels, and currently as a real estate professional. She holds degrees in
Nursing and Business Management.
Across her career, Darlene has worked closely with individuals, teams, and organizations during
complex and high-stakes situations, developing a practical and people-focused approach to
leadership.
As Board President, Darlene’s primary focus is protecting the interests of the Association and its
homeowners, ensuring sound governance, clear communication, and continuity from one board
to the next. She approaches board service with a commitment to transparency, stewardship, and
long-term community well-being.
Outside of her professional work, Darlene is married to Lance. Together they enjoy gardening,
entertaining, and caring for their three dogs, Bella-Luci, Duke, and Pierre.
Vice-President – Bob Baucom
Bob Baucom is a retired professional with a 30-year career in sales and marketing with Owens-
Illinois. He brings a strong business background and a practical, results-oriented perspective to
his service on the Eagle Bay Landing Homeowners Association Board.
Bob previously served as an officer in the United States Air Force, an experience that shaped his
commitment to responsibility, discipline, and service. He also has prior HOA board experience in
Sandestin, providing him with a solid understanding of community governance and association
operations.
As a Board member, Bob values thoughtful decision-making and community involvement.
Outside of board service, he is an active golfer and has served on his church board, reflecting his
ongoing commitment to leadership and service within his broader community.

Treasurer – Tom Donnowitz
Tom Donnowitz brings over 30 years of experience as a sales executive in the industrial products
sector. He currently serves as a Sales Manager and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in
Marketing.
Professionally, Tom has extensive experience in negotiation, strategic planning, and building
consensus among diverse groups. These skills support his practical, solutions-oriented approach
to board service.
As a Board member, Tom is committed to fostering a strong community environment, with an
emphasis on improving communication and transparency across the Association. He is focused
on understanding the needs of residents and working collaboratively to implement positive,
community-wide improvements.
Member at Large – Clay Whitinghill
Clay Whittinghill – Member-at-Large brings more than 35 years of leadership experience as a
professional maritime Captain to the Eagle Bay Landing Homeowners Association Board. His
career spans offshore oil and gas operations throughout the Gulf of America and the Caribbean,
as well as more than 18 years as a charter boat and private yacht captain in the Destin area.
Currently, Clay serves as Captain of a 220-foot Offshore Supply Vessel, leading a 10-person
crew and managing complex, high-risk operations that require constant coordination, sound
judgment, and decisive leadership. His professional background includes studies in Marine
Biology, Environmental Toxicology, and Geology at LSU before transitioning into oil and gas
exploration and production, where he remains actively engaged today.
Clay’s experience directly supports the work of the Board. He is accustomed to evaluating risk,
overseeing logistics and resources, working with multiple stakeholders, and making timely
decisions that keep operations moving forward safely and efficiently. His leadership style reflects
a practical, can-do mindset, with a focus on accountability, clear communication, and follow-
through.
Throughout his career, Clay has emphasized teamwork, fairness, and respect in managing people
and operations. He values being a good neighbor and believes strong communities are built
through responsibility, cooperation, and thoughtful decision-making. Clay looks forward to
contributing his experience and leadership to support the continued stability, safety, and long-
term success of Eagle Bay Landing.
